Look Straight Down - TP 305

I hardly ever look down to take photos, it seems - at least that's what I discovered
when I went looking for something to post for this theme.

Here's a baby Manu at about 6 weeks, with a bit of grass stuck in his collar.

When we got him he was so small that he would fit in my son's hand (it's quite a big hand, admittedly).

Here he is with his friend D'Arcy the Golden Lab, who was trying to pick Manu up in his mouth:

And this is my grandaughter at 18 months - I'm looking down at her looking down...

Thematic Photographic 305 is over here, at Carmi's

  1. How right you are. I don't often take photos looking straight down - or up. Something to think about.
And these are charming heart melting little memories - thank you.

    1. I guess one reason is that I don't like heights - therefore I don't do the top of buildings etc!

      Thank you EC.

  2. Love seeing little Manu!

P.S. Funny, six of the seven photos on my last post are looking down. But I have some more for this week's Carmi theme.

  3. Wow, the shot of your grand-daughter is so precious. The beach is perfect and just hint of the water. I don't have to say how adorable the dogs are either. I could scoop them both up for doggy kisses!

    1. Thanks Gilly! Sadly D'Arcy is no longer around - he died quite young. Manu's 8 and a half now and although I have every intention of getting him a companion, it hasn't happened yet. He's a lovely little guy, so no, you can't have him. Sorry! :)

  6. It won't be long before you find yourself looking up at your grandchildren, all of ours are taller than me already! Love the dog shots - I never get tired of them.

  7. Adorable dogs and so sorry D'Arcy is gone, but photos are treasured keepsakes. Beautiful photo of the curiosity of a child.
